Recommended Printer Settings

Print Nozzle: 0.4 – 0.8 mm
Extruder Temperature: 195 – 230°C
Print Bed Temperature: 40 – 60°C
Cooling Fan: On

Printing Tips For Bowden Drive Printers

Print Slower: 15 – 30 m/s
First Layer Settings: 100% Height. 150% Width, 50% Speed
Disable Retraction: Should reduce oozing and stringing
Cooling Fan: On after first layer
Increase Multiplier: 1.1, should increase bonding

Do not over extrude filament when loading. As soon as the filament start protruding from the nozzle, stop. Loading any faster will
cause the filament to get caught in extruder gear.

Feed the filament directly to the extruder, and not through the feeder tube. This reduces back tension in the filament as well as drag,
ensuring proper feeding.

  1. 225c nozzle/ 52c bed temps on alunar m508. I had good results with this filament at the above temps and 25mm/s speed with no retraction. It must be noted however that it would not have been possible to print without modifying the filament path first. I had to cut and install a 5mm section of ptfe tube in between the extruder gear and throat body leading up to the nozzle as the filament is too flexible for any gaps in the extrusion path. I can recommend this filament to anyone who is willing to put the effort into making it work as there…

Great filament I was surprised when I opened this and found the filament to behave like a wet noodle!Despite this, it has mostly worked in my unmodified Ender 3, although I’ve had a few jams that I blame on software slicing errors and bad bed leveling. Improving the contraining of the Ender3 extrusion path might make this better.Printed parts with this plastic have intersting properties very different from other non-tpu plastics.I’ve been keeping this in a ziplock bag with…
